As my chickens are supposed to link to themes of imprisonment, I have used a bright tangerine orange for their base colour (like the prison uniforms of America). Through doing this, I have learnt the hard way that orange is the single worst colour in the entire world to ever exist in glass.
There are many theories as to why I am having problems, but according to the rules of glass there isn't really any logical explanation. Which naturally, makes my problems more difficult to solve.
After finding cracks in the base when removing them from the lehr, I have changed the system for which they are put away after making. This includes 47656301 different ways (I may be exaggerating slightly) to add and keep heat into the base, including map gas and sitting them in tray of vermiculite when in the lehr. Despite these extra measures, I am still finding that approximately a third of all orange chickens are cracking significantly when ground on the flatbed. Which is resulting in my sanity also cracking significantly.
Whilst I am trying hard to battle through the setbacks, these problems are making my thirty-chicken target seem ever further away. However, I shall persever nonetheless,
